Aubrey Plaza is an American actress and comedian who has gained popularity with her deadpan-style comedy. She portrayed April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation and after appearing in key supporting roles in several films, she had her first leading role in the 2012 comedy Safety Not Guaranteed. She has also appeared in films such as Dirty Grandpa, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and Ingrid Goes West, the latter two of which she also produced. In 2022, it was announced that Plaza would star in the second season of the HBO series The White Lotus. For her role, she received a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Later that year, Plaza was given the Artist of Distinction Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
